INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
In the nineteenth century, the entire economy of the Sorrento peninsula revolved around lemons, which were exported by sailing ships and steamers to the United States.
Today, the land traditionally reserved for the cultivation of lemons is in danger of being abandoned both due to the lack of young recruits and the high cost of skilled labour.
The Luce di Sorrento project aims to protect the land while respecting the agroecosystem, moving hand in hand with natural life cycles and favouring production techniques of organic farming.
Luce di Sorrento wants to support young farmers who want to keep the tradition going and continue to produce high-quality IGP Lemons of Sorrento and reach customers all over the world.
